This workshop will be led by Jennifer Pearce from Lincolnshire County Council, who manages a community on “Second Life”, and Brian Scarborough, Schools Child Protection Facilitator for North East Lincolnshire. It will look at the Second Life virtual world, and others, and consider the risks associated with them. Your children will be aware of virtual worlds like “Club Penguin” and many will be in them – how can we make sure they are safe, and how can we use them in the primary environment? Links to a number of virtual worlds will be posted below, including Second Life, but it is not necessary to install the program for this workshop. Bring your laptop.
